If you’ve hung around here long enough you probably recall my podcast from 2019-20, A Scribe’s Journey, that I ran while residing in Nebraska. I met a lot of great new writers and you can check out over thirty episodes archived right here: A Scribe’s Journey.
The year 2020 was rough on all of us, and I got off to an early start by contracting COVID, surviving it and having it (per my doctor) trigger the shingles virus I’ve carried around since I was a kid with Chicken Pox. Only, unlike most shingles victims, mine hit me in the face. For awhile I looked like an extra straight off the set of the Walking Dead.
You don’t do a video podcast about writers while looking like an extra from the Walking Dead. Nobody wanted to see that. Not even me and I had to every time I looked in a mirror. So the podcast went on hiatus and about the time I was ready to fire it back up, we had to pack up and move west.
After six months of relative calm, I’m ready to get back into it. But this time, with a little different angle. In The Superversive Spotlight is the name of the new podcast and it will feature all sorts of creators, not just authors, who fit the Superversive mode. And while it will be mostly sci-fi/fantasy, it won’t be exclusively SF/F anymore than Superversive is solely a SF/F construct.
The first episodes should drop next month and I hope you’ll check them out, even leave a comment or two. I’ll even set up a way for you to ask an upcoming guest a question – which I will read to them from the submitted questions each week – and we’ll see what happens from there.
So keep an eye out for the first episode as well as some other upcoming announcements regarding what I’ll be doing over the next few months. You won’t be disappointed at all.
